U.S. sailors from a carrier strike group whose recent presence in the Persian Gulf drew the ire of Iranian military officials have rescued 13 of the Middle Eastern country's sailors from a hijacked fishing boat, a military spokesman said Friday.

The Royal Navy is sending a new warship to the region, with capabilities that not long ago would have been restricted to science fiction. While they may not have the opportunity to rescue Iranian sailors, The Daily Stag Hunt is quite sure that they would be able to practice singing while, if necessary, shooting down many incoming missiles. The capabilities of modern military technology - about which we probably know very little, as the best equipment is probably secret - are very impressive. The United States and Israel are planning joint operations in the Gulf presently; some of the technology that will be on display found its way into the press.
